Event Details

AIDS Legal Council of Chicago and Windy City Times pay tribute to outstanding individuals working to make a difference in the lives of people with HIV and AIDS. These men and women are on the frontlines of the epidemic and their efforts bring care, housing and other vital services to thousands living with HIV. They have distinguished themselves by their commitment and compassion and for this reason we proudly recognize them as our Advocates of the Year.

This year we are honoring:

  • State Representative Greg Harris
  • Matthildur "Matta" Kelley of Community Outreach Intervention Projects (COIP)
  • Cheryl Potts of Alexian Brothers AIDS Ministry
  • Test Positive Aware Network (TPAN), which is celebrating its 25th year of service
  • Ed Jeske and John Hern - Friend of the Council Award
